A tragic accident in Brazil claimed the lives of a young couple after their car fell from a cliff in Espírito Santo. The incident occurred at a scenic lookout in Venda Nova do Imigrante in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victims have been identified as Adriana Machado Ribeiro, 42, and Marcone da Silva Cardoso, 26. Both were parents to young children. Preliminary investigation suggests that after attending a party, the couple had parked their vehicle on a slope at the lookout. Authorities believe movement inside the stationary car may have caused it to roll, leading to a fall estimated at over 100 meters.
While no foul play is suspected, the investigation continues. The heartbreaking incident serves as a sobering reminder of the critical importance of vehicle safety and stability when parking on inclines, especially in remote areas.
